This textbook contains information about the sources of dangerous and interfering influence on the operation of rail circuit equipment and automatic locomotive signaling, as well as technical conditions for the operation of this equipment, electric and magnetic parameters of rail lines, and the processes of occurrence of traction current asymmetry are considered. In addition, data on sources of surge surges and means of protection against them are presented here, as well as methods for calculating filters used in rail circuits, and methods for evaluating the effectiveness of these filters, and ways to increase the noise immunity of the equipment under consideration are proposed.
